Camping:

Our primitive campsites are available for outdoor enthusiasts at just $25 per night!

At Kennedy Pond Conservancy, we encourage organizations such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, FFA, and homeschoolers to utilize our camping areas. An overnight camping excursion can be enhanced with guided nature walks and opportunities for service learning, providing a comprehensive and memorable outdoor experience for all participants.

Reserve one of our three primitive campsites and indulge in the outdoors much the way our ancestors did many years ago (with a few modern amenities). Nestled within the heart of our wetland nature conservation, the primitive campsite offers a truly immersive experience in nature. Surrounded by the symphony of wildlife sounds, the campsite is situated beneath the canopy of cypress trees, creating a serene retreat. Set along the water’s edge, the primitive site provides a rustic and authentic connection to the wetland ecosystem.

As the evening sun sets, casting a warm glow across the wetland, campers can unwind around a crackling campfire. The air is scented with the earthy aroma of marsh grasses, adding to the enchantment of the surroundings. The primitive amenities include a simple fire pit for cooking under the stars and a designated area for pitching tents, emphasizing a minimal impact on the natural environment.

The sounds of frogs and crickets serve as a lullaby, creating a peaceful ambiance that lingers throughout the night. Under the vast, star-studded sky, campers can revel in the tranquility and disconnect from the modern world. This primitive campsite is not just a place to rest but a haven where nature enthusiasts can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the wetland after the day’s adventures.
